Tinea capitis is a fungal infection of the scalp. Symptoms are baldness, due to hair that has broken off, Itching of the scalp, multiple patches of hair loss, black dot pattern, treatment is usually griesofulvin. Tinea capitis is also known as Herpes tonsurans or ringworm of hairs.

Diagnosing Tinea Pedis

Tinea Pedis is also known as Hong Kong foot or Athlete’s foot or ring worm of foot. Treatment of Tinea pedis is applying terbinafine, griesofulvin or Phytozine ointment and creams or taking tablets.
